About Us
For more than 30 years Youth Emergency Services has offered a safe place for young people in crisis—the YES Shelter. Last year alone, more than 299 homeless and at-risk teens spent at least one night in our Omaha shelter.
The Youth Street Outreach Program began in 1999. Between 2005 and 2006, YES helped another 488 homeless and street dependent young people to find a safe place to stay, something to eat and supplies to get through a time of crisis. YES workers also guided those who needed special help to health and mental health providers, legal services and employment opportunities. Whatever at-risk young people needed, Youth Emergency Services was there to help.
